A Life of Purpose. A Legacy in Action.
A Hampton University alumna, Sherry’s career spans more than three decades across fashion, corporate leadership, and the architecture and design industry. Her early work on Seventh Avenue, including roles with internationally recognized fabric houses such as John Kaldor New York, placed her at the intersection of design and business providing an understanding of the design process from textiles to trademarks. That meticulous attention to fiber and form is now expressed through the 1868 Legacy collections, tailored for the advocates and legacy-builders.
She went on to build a career across Fortune 500 and institutional environments, including MSC Industrial Direct and Arrow Electronics, as well as the American Institute of Architects (AIA), representing over 100,000 members.
Over the past 15 years, her work has been deeply rooted in the architecture and design industry, where she developed a nuanced understanding of the design process and how space and place shape the lived experience —recognizing the built environment as a powerful force in creating equitable spaces.
Moments of Work & Influence
A Life of Purpose. A Legacy in Action.
Across these roles, she led initiatives spanning strategy, operations, culture, organizational effectiveness, and leadership development—with a focus on inclusion and equity.
Building on this experience, she founded Global Diversity Collaborative, advising organizations across corporate, academic, and civic sectors—helping them navigate change, build alignment, and design strategies grounded in clarity, inclusion, and long-term impact.
Her work has spanned corporate leadership, global convenings, and the design of large-scale summits and leadership experiences—creating spaces where dialogue is intentional, relationships are deepened, and ideas move toward execution.
Today, through 1868 Legacy, Sherry weaves these threads together—curating spaces where heritage, leadership, and influence converge to shape what comes next.

Philosophy
Life is lived in moments.
Legacy is lived—through intention and action. It is shaped by how we show up in the rooms we inhabit, where dialogue shapes what comes next.
Sherry believes in the power of the room—curated with care, rooted in respect, and designed to move ideas into meaningful change.
Live the Legacy.
A Note from the Curator
1868 Legacy is presence—expressed through fashion.
"The Inaugural Collection celebrated our Heritage. The XIV Collection honors our identity. This series is a tribute to the 1868 ratification of the 14th Amendment—the legal foundation that paved the way for the HBCU excellence we represent today. This foundation is core to our mission, and we invite you to explore the complete 1868 History that anchors the brand.. This is clothing for the advocates, the stwards and the legacy-builders."
Legacy Salons are practice—where we honor heritage and create legacy.
Legacy Salons are a natural extension of this work. They are curated convenings for leaders, founders, creatives, and cultural stewards—designed to foster meaningful dialogue on leadership, wealth, enterprise, and influence.
This is where ideas are exchanged, relationships are forged, and legacy is shaped—in community and with intention. If you seek to be in the room where dialogue has consequence, you may Request an Invitation to our next Legacy Salon convenings.
